Metallurgical overhead crane procurement project for South Kalimantan Industrial Base in Indonesia

In 2022, a company in Indonesia’s South Kalimantan Industrial Base launched a procurement project for metallurgical bridge cranes online. After fierce competition, we got this project order. This batch of metallurgical bridge cranes will be used for material handling, equipment installation, large machinery maintenance and other operations in the aluminum smelting plant.

In practical applications, metallurgical bridge cranes can be used to lift high-temperature liquid metals such as molten iron, molten steel, molten copper, and molten aluminum. They can also be used to lift hot metal ingots and cast ingots. On the production line, they can be used with large forging hammer hydraulic presses to cast and hoist large workpieces, and can also be used for operations such as feeding materials into the open hearth. In addition, metallurgical bridge cranes are also widely used in different types of hoists to lift heavy materials such as steel, aluminum rods, and gas tanks to raise the well barrel and promote production efficiency. As a country with rich mineral resources, Indonesia has strong demand for smelting equipment. For example, projects in the Kalimantan Industrial Park in Indonesia include petrochemical plants, aluminum smelters, steel plants, electric vehicle battery plants, and industrial silicon and polysilicon. The investment amount in the construction of green industrial zones in Kalimantan will exceed Rp 2,000 trillion.

We would like to remind customers who contact us that when choosing a crane type, they need to conduct an in-depth analysis of their own production processes and needs to determine the specific specifications, performance requirements and quantity of the required cranes. This may involve discussions and consultations with engineers, technicians and managers. After determining the needs, we may conduct a series of technical negotiations to reach an agreement on the specific configuration, technical specifications, delivery time, payment method and other details of the crane. Subsequently, both parties will sign a formal purchase contract.
